Welcome to the MUN Wildlife Evolutionary Ecology Lab
We aim to bridge fundamental and applied biology by asking questions solidly grounded in ecological and evolutionary theory that oftentimes also have relevant management or conservation implications for wildlife populations.  Ultimately this means targeting important management or conservation challenges with techniques derived from interface between Behavioural Ecology, Population Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology.

As a result our research focuses largely on key animal behaviours, social structure, life history, resource or habitat selection, space use, and movement rates. We test how changing ecological conditions affect these behaviours and ultimately what are the downstream implications, for example, on disease transmission, reproduction, survival, and population dynamics.

See our Research page for an overview of some of our current ongoing projects.
